Anne-Marie has recently relocated from Vancouver to Toronto for a new job. Coming from another province, Anne-Marie needs to find an apartment, get utilities set-up, get a new driver’s license and health card, and she needs to do it all around her very busy work schedule.
Anne-Marie struggles to find information on how and where to get all of her information updated and identities transferred to her new province of residence. Additionally, she needs to present herself to various municipal offices with similar information across all, in order to complete the applications for transfer. Moreover, most offices are only open during work hours, which proves to be a difficult task around her busy work schedule.
Municipalities are looking for ways to reach and engage their citizens through new mediums as well as more seamlessly and efficiently, so they can cut down on paperwork, reduce costs, and increase community participation in matters such as voting.
Even when citizen consent is given, public services in different departments and jurisdictions have trouble connecting data due to data silos. Having the ability to extend this network to trusted private sector services such as telecoms or banks would be valuable as well.

All of this can be done seamlessly from her mobile device, from anywhere, without lengthy in-person or phone wait times.
Later, the ability to quickly fill out a business application allows Anne-Marie to follow her ambitions of being self-employed and growing her own enterprise. Something as simple as paying for a parking ticket or voting can be done at her fingertips.
